A new installment of Swizz Beatz Hip Hop 50 series is set to be released on April 10 as part of the Mass Appeal-led series. This installment features six tracks following DJ Premier’s emergence in 2022 of a new series called Hip Hop 50: Vol. 1. Swizz Beatz liberated a video from the EP he released on Monday (May 22), which features the song he self-produced, “Take ‘Em Out,” on which he collaborated with Benny The Butcher, Jadakiss, and Scar Lip. A collaboration between DMX and ONYX, this hard-hitting track sees all parties expressing their rawest and most honest bars to date which is especially obvious when it comes to Scar Lip’s closing verse, which is one of the most raw.

“Take ‘Em Out” came to be as a part of an accompanying video directed by Prime.2. This video was created in black and white keeping with the original video’s style. As the viewer moves through the video, Swizz and his collaborators can be seen performing their verses from any or all of the three microphones that hang from the ceiling. Shots of New York City are interspersed throughout the video.

A recent interview in Billboard, Swizz Beatz spoke about how he became a part of the Hip Hop 50 series and how he became a member. ‘Blame Nas!’ he shoutedA few weeks ago, I was having a cup of coffee with him one day when he mentioned that Mass Appeal is going to be a huge part of Hip Hop 50 and I was blown away by his words,” the former Ruff Ryder explained. “As far as the concept goes, we have a concept with a bunch of producers and you need to be the one to represent New York.’ My response to this was, ‘What do you mean by that?’ As far as he was concerned, Premier would represent a different place with you, Hit Boy and several other people. And I replied, ‘Okay. Cool.’”
