Earlier this month (May 2), Cordae surprised his fans with a new visual for one of his songs, “The Water (Freestyle),” which shows the rapper going through a stream of consciousness as he reflects on his life and career.

Cordae’s match clip is provided by Simon David and illustrates how much fun he’s having on his trip to Tokyo, Japan. It will be a visual treat for viewers to watch the young DMV talent take a trip through the city, work out in a gym, and deliver rhymes in the stairwell of a metro station.

From a Birds Eye View is the sophomore studio LP from Cordae, and it’s the first album that Cordae has released to public after two years of hard work. The LP includes 14 songs with additional features from H.E.R., Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, Freddie Gibbs, and more. On both the Billboard 200 and the international album charts, the project reached the top 20 and landed on several of the top twenty spots. A two-track EP (Unacceptable) was released by the Hi Level representative shortly after and several well received singles were released, including “Two Tens,” and “Feel It In The Air” by Anderson .Paak and “CHECKMATE,” “Multi-Platinum” by Hit-Boy. Aside from producing dope cuts for his peers, he also contributed to a number of dope cuts, including the late rapper Lil Keed “Lost My Trust,” Morray “Still Here,” Eric Bellinger “Curious,” and Dougie B “Spinnin.”
