The singer Lizzo released her Special album back in July of 2022, and the 12 tracks that made up the collection were well-received and included hits such as “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” and “Grrrls.” As fans await the release of the official music video, the singer returns with one more project from the album, and this time it is the title track. As she becomes a superhero in this new clip directed by Christian Breslauer, Detroit-born talent Stephanie Danielle becomes a superhero who saves her entire city. Lizzo uses the song as a platform to deliver a powerful message:

As well as teasing that fans can expect yet another release in the near future from the Grammy award-winning multihyphenate, she also hinted at the release date. “Something very special will be arriving very soon,” she stated in the YouTube description.

It is worth noting that Lizzo’s last full-length album was released back in 2019, Cuz I Love You. Among the guest appearances that appeared on that LP were Missy Elliott and Gucci Mane. A few months after the release of the original album, she produced an updated version, titled “Super Deluxe,” which featured five new tracks as well as a new feature from Ariana Grande.

Lizzo recently gave an interview in which she shared the experiences she had as a child that shaped her personality today, and she explained how they shaped this. “There were a lot of things I wanted to be accepted for and not fitting in hurt me the worst,” she said. The way I protected myself was with humor. Eventually, I became the class clown among my classmates. As a matter of fact, that’s more of a sense of confidence. And I have the type of anxiety that affects me to become more louder and more humorous the more stressed I am.”
