The rapper Anderson .Paak and singer Knxwledge reunite as NxWorries today (May 18) to release a brand new single called “Daydreaming.” The track, produced by Knxwledge, has a nostalgic, soulful vibe that makes the rapper sing of falling into a trance over his lover.
Taking the song to another level, “Daydreaming” is also accompanied by a visual that was created by Knxwledge. Anderson .Paak is seen in the Grand Theft Auto universe with the help of video game outfit Rockstar Games. By the end of the video, the band NxWorries breaks out a guitar for an instrumental solo and delves into the song’s lyrics. Anderson .Paak may be coming into GTA’s virtual world for the first time, but it isn’t his first foray – he was a supporting character for Dr. Dre in the online adventure game “The Contract.”
It has been an interesting journey for NxWorries since 2016, when they released their debut studio album, Yes Lawd!, a collection of 19 dope tracks, the most noteworthy of which was the smash hit “Suede.” In the years since their debut, fans have also been treated to an EP that includes tracks from Yes Lawd! Remixes include a variety of notable drops, such as “Where I Go” with H.E.R.“ and itkanbe [sonice]” (from Knxwledge’s 2020 album, 1988.) It was confirmed in a press release that an upcoming Stones Throw-backed sophomore body of work will be arriving before the end of 2023.
