A recent announcement indicates that Killer Mike sixth studio album, MICHAEL, will be released on June 16. The album will feature 14 tracks, and it will include guest appearances from Future, André 3000, Young Thug, and more. During Wednesday’s affair (May 10), the Atlanta veteran announced the release of two visuals that connect the songs “Motherless” and “Don’t Let The Devil,” both of which have been directed by Atlanta native Davi Peña as a tribute to Mike’s death mother, Druzella Denise Clonts, after whom the songs are named.

There are no doubt a few key elements that remain a central focus in the second clip for the Eryn Allen Kane-assisted song “Motherless,” including a series of shots featuring Mike transporting us through different periods of his mother’s life – the emotional theme is mirrored in the rhymes that can be heard throughout the track.

It has already been revealed on social media that Killer Mike announced on his Instagram page that Clonts passed from this world to be with our ancestors in 2017 and that he had “departed from this body”.

“Killer Mike said at the time, referring to those who believe in what I believe, “People who believe as I do know that energy cannot be destroyed, simply transformed”, he remarked. “I pray that she will be with our elders in some way and that peace and harmony will follow them wherever their souls roam.”
