Ne-Yo released a deluxe version of his debut album In My Own Words a few months ago to commemorate its 15-year anniversary. That album was followed by the single “What If” in September. On October 19, Ne-Yo released a new single he collaborated on with Yung Bleu called “Stay Down.”
Both have returned this week to discuss the storyline-driven visual. In the video, Ne-Yo is seen pulling off a high-profile heist at an upscale jewelry store with the help of his female accomplice. Ne-Yo sings about loyalty as he rests after a job well done after a post-robbery hideout is slowly flooded:
Ne-Yo released In My Own Words (Deluxe) in March, making several bonus tracks available to consumers including “Girlfriend,” “Stay (Remix)” with Rick Ross (which appeared on the Japanese edition of In My Own Words), acoustic versions of “So Sick” and “Sexy Love,” and two original instrumental tracks (“So Sick” and “When You’re Mad”). Since sharing “U 2 Luv” a few months ago, Ne-Yo has followed up with a remix featuring Lil Durk and Queen Naija. It was in 2019 when he released Another Kind of Christmas, which served as a festive early holiday release.
