The rapper 070 Shake put out her debut album You Can’t Kill Me on November 19 through Def Jam Recordings/G.O.O.D. Music. In addition to 070 Shake and Dave Hamelin executive producing the project, Mike Dean has mixed and mastered it. A few previews were available to fans prior to the release of the album, including “Body,” “Skin and Bones,” “Web,” and “Lose My Cool” with NLE Choppa.
As part of her ongoing project, the New Jersey-born artist will reveal her official visual for “Blue Velvet” on June 16. The simple yet dramatic new video shows 070 Shake remembering intimate moments she’ll never forget:
As a result of our attachment to this physical reality, we have a much stronger tendency to be hurt by it. According to 070 Shake, in a press release related to the project, “I cannot be killed by my own body.” Increasingly detailed with each release, it seems as if you are being revealed to more and more people. With You Can’t Kill Me, I demonstrate my commitment to being free as a musician. Feeling is my biggest influence in my music.”
A North American tour that started last month in Detroit ended just recently for Shake, 70. This month, the 20-date tour concluded with four shows in Los Angeles. The tour kicked off in Detroit on May 7 and was followed by stops in New York City, Chicago, Houston, Toronto, and Phoenix.
