Trae Tha Truth reveals his touching new video for “Hope It Don’t Change You”

Trae Tha Truth released his debut album Life n Pain last month, a collection of nine tracks without much content. MC Hope, based in Houston, is out today (Apr. 8), sharing his touching new official video for “Hope Hope It Don’t Change You.” Produced by Othello Beats and directed by Tru Films, the new clip begins with Houston mogul J. Kelly talking to his son, before taking viewers on Trae’s journey through his life as a father while living on the road:

Trae said in an official statement about the video, “This video shows me struggling to be in the life of my daughter. I haven’t seen her for over 120 days.”“ It appears this is desperately needed in our current environment. So many fathers are affected by this and are constantly disadvantaged in the court process, even some mothers suffer the same fate. The video and song will speak for those who cannot speak up for themselves or do not possess the financial resources to advocate for their children.”

In June, Trae Tha Truth released his latest record, 48 Hours After, a Moxiii Double Dee and 20K The Producer album that featured 14 songs and appearances by Lil’ Keke, Big Pokey, Jared, the late DJ Screw, and more. In addition to that, he released dope visuals for cuts like “The Cru” as well as “Freestyle,” which was created by Trae’s son Baby Houston, also referred to as Lil’ Houston and King Houston.
