Earlier this month, rapper Saweetie teamed up with singer-songwriter Muni Long for an up-tempo, dance-ready offering titled “Baby Boo.” Stepping away from her usual slow burning R&B sound, Muni teams up with Saweetie to create an up-tempo, dance-ready offering that will make you want to dance at all those summer parties. It features an interpolation of the classic track “My Boo” by Ghost Town DJs:
“Baby Boo” follows the success of Muni’s previous singles, “Another” and “Pain.” Earlier this year, she racked up success with her 2021 EP, Public Expressions of Affection, which features her hit single, “Hrs and Hrs.” In addition to receiving over 200 million streams and reaching the top of the chart at Urban & Rhythmic radio, the song peaked at the Top 5 at Apple Music and hit the Top 17 in the Billboard Hot 100.
Considering Saweetie’s recent activity, the Bay Area sweetheart has been comparatively inactive in the music department as she is focused on putting the finishing touches on her upcoming project. Among her most recent albums are “Closer” feat. H.E.R., “Icy Chain,” and “Fast (Motion),” which will be featured on Saweetie’s long-awaited debut album Pretty Bitch Music.
