Earlier today (10th), Saucy Santana delivered a catchy new single called “Booty.” The rhyming record features an assist from Latto, who was also involved in Latto’s 777 standout “It’s Givein’.” As the name suggests, “Booty” is a tribute to derrières and what artists can accomplish with them:
The Booty was produced by Johnny Goldstein and includes elements from KSHMR “Hey Ho Crowd Chant,” Chi-Lites’ “Are You My Woman? (Tell Me So)” and Poison Clan “Shake Whatcha’ Mama Gave Ya’,” – the last of which can be found on JAY-Z and Beyoncé smash hit “Crazy in Love.” This tune is destined to be played all summer long.
The year 21 proved to be a productive one for Saucy Santana, as he released a number of highly regarded projects including Outside and Keep It Playa. The latter project featured contributions from artists such as Kali, BeatKing, City Girls, and Rubi Rose. Among the biggest hits of that year were singles like “Walk” and “Material Girl,” thanks in large part to social media, especially TikTok’s exponential growth. In the wake of being signed to RCA Records, Saucy has been steadily building momentum towards a forthcoming body of work, and “Booty” is hoped to be proof of an upcoming release date.
