Trevor Jackson revealed the title of his debut album, The Love Language, back in May. In order to sustain the momentum, he continued to release new visuals, including videos for tracks such as “Tiny Dancer” and “Your Everything.” The official video for his new single, “Pictures By My Pool”, came out at a pool party, so it only makes sense that it was filmed there. Trevor sings in the song about how some people may visit just to get a picture for the Instagram:
There are several hit singles on the album, including the The East Side Boyz, Lil Jon, Luda and Usher-sampling “Get To You,”as well as “Just Friends.” In the latter track, Jackson shows his obsessive love through a cinematic music video that demonstrates the meaning behind the song. Production credits for The Love Language go to Jackson himself, Ayo & Keyz, Harvey Mason Jr. and more.
The message Jackson wishes to send with this release is one of more understanding of love, as he conveys it with intention. According to Trevor Jackson, “Love is the universal language of all things, so I hope this album will provide people with a greater sense of self-awareness about what their own love languages are, as well as how to communicate them,” he states in a press release. It is through this powerful music that people will not only be able to connect, but also be able to reconnect with themselves.
