Getting recruited as Disney Branded Television’s executive vice president of creative development and strategy in 2020, Ayo Davis can manage all live-action content for scripted and unscripted programs, as well as movies and specials.
According to her role, the Dillard University graduate would report to Gary Marsh, the former president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, for 32 years.
Appearing to have been doing an excellent job in her capacity, in case you missed it, Davis was promoted to the position of president of Disney Branded Television in September 2021, succeeding Marsh.
In her newly-created role, Ayo Davis will report directly to Peter Rice, Chairman of Disney General Entertainment.
Remarking, Rice said, Ayo is a dedicated leader with exceptional creative instincts who has thrived in every capacity she holds at Disney.
Following her creative eye for talent has had a significant effect in front of and behind the camera, from legendary episodes across our networks distinguished by their casting decisions to establishing a portfolio of creative talent that will transform family programming at Disney Branded Television.

Possessing her HBCU graduate status, she will supervise the content programming for families and children up to 17. Managing Disney XD, Disney Junior, and Disney Channel strategy, production, and development will be part of her role.
