Upon release of What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up, Johan Lenox will release a brand new project on May 13. KayCyy and Lenox join forces for the final track on the project before it is released fully, “What Happening,” a unique arrangement of string arrangements and layered vocal harmonies that speak to the album’s subject matter:
The tune’s release is accompanied by a vulnerable caption from Lenox. He writes, “I have no idea how long it will take me to figure out life.” I thought we would be there already, or at least close to it. However, everything appears to be unraveling in this world, and nothing is as stable as it was when I was a child.
Hans Lenox has arranged string arrangements for a wide range of top hits by artists like Lil Nas X, Kanye West, Fivio Foreign, Travis Scott, FINNEAS + countless others. The singer also performed his track“No One Gets Me” on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
