IDK teams up with KAYTRANADA for “Taco”

In the past year, IDK has released his sophomore album USEE4YOURSELF, an acclaimed release with 17 tracks and contributions from Young Thug, Offset, Westside Gunn, Jay Electronica, the late Swae Lee, SiR, T-Pain, Rico Nasty, MF DOOM, and more. It appears that the Maryland rapper had been enjoying life away from the studio aside from his freestyle over Drake’s “Champagne Poetry” release.

In February 2014, it appears IDK is once again in the midst of a campaign to get attention for his next body of work, Simple, as his social media indicates. The 25-year-old has just released a dope new single called “Taco,” a collaboration with KAYTRANADA, in which he delivers some of his most aggressive bars we’ve seen thus far:

IDK himself directed the video for “Taco”, featuring him in a number of hoods throughout Washington D.C., mobbing with locals in diverse locations throughout. By the time the video ends, SimpleCity58, who goes by SimpleCity58, has provided a slang definition for the song’s title:

An explosive material encased in a metal case, with primers and bullets; commonly used ammunition for defensible weaponry.”
