Fabolous and Westside Gunn team up for “Brick After Brick”

It continues to build upon its hip-hop heavy playlist in the EPIX original series “Godfather of Harlem.” Swizz Beatz is largely responsible for the tough cuts we’ve heard, which include: YG, Giggs, and BIA’s “Waiting On Me,” India Shawn and Adé’s “Prince Hakeem,” DMX and French Montana’s “Been To War,” Buddy’s “Shit Don’t Feel Right,” Lord Afrixana and DDG’s “No Favors,” Rick Ross and Cruel Youth’s “No Bark When I Bite,” Larry Lune’s “Please Forgive Me,” and Freddie Gibbs, and Shoota93’s “We Want Justice Dammit!” The New York titans Westside Gunn and Fabolous stepped up their game with “Brick After Brick,” an Avenue Beatz and Swizz-produced track in which the two emcees tackle the issue of drug use:

In addition to his work with Griselda collective, Westside Gunn released three noteworthy projects in the past year: Pray For Paris, Flygod Is An Awesome God 2, and WHO MADE THE SUNSHINE. More recently, fans of Buffalo talent have been treated to singles like “Julia Lang,” “TV Boy,” and “Stain” ; the latter made its appearance on the Real Late Show with Peter Rosenberg. As previously noted, Fabolous recently battled two-time champ Jadakiss on an episode of ‘Verzuz’ and his last full-length album, Summertime Shootout 3: Coldest Summer Ever, made landfall in 2019.
