Dvsn and Ty Dolla $ign’s joint project Cheers to the Best Memories will drop at midnight, featuring 11 tracks as well as additional contributions from YG, Rauw Alejandro, and the late Mac Miller, heard on the bittersweet lead single “I Believed It”. Fans can listen to another track from the album, “Memories,” a Noah “40” Shebib and Nineteen95-produced track that takes cues from Silk’s classic cut “Freak Me.” “Memories”, a song similar to the sample, features the collaborators’ memories of unforgettable sexual encounters:
Throughout the accompanying video for “Memories,” we see Nineteen85, Ty Dolla $ign, and Daniel Dale partying in a dimly lit room with beautiful women dancing around them. Interestingly, it seems to have been inspired by a typical New Year’s Eve celebration, complete with disco ball and confetti.
Earlier this year, dvsn released their third LP, A Muse in Her Feelings, which featured 16 songs and contributions from Snoh Aalegra, Summer Walker, Popcaan, Future, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and more. Several months later, Ty$ would drop his latest project, featuring Ty Dolla $ign, which features a range of artists from Post Malone and Nicki Minaj to Kanye West and Kid Cudi.
