“Double Up” is BJ The Chicago Kid’s tribute to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle

As a way to honor the late Nipsey Hussle’s birthday, BJ The Chicago Kid, a fellow artist and close friend, covered the late entertainer’s ‘Double Up” from his GRAMMY-nominated album, Victory Lap. Adding his own flair to Nip’s lyrics, BJ the Chicago Kid has created a new cover that pays tribute to Nip’s lyrics:

Produced by Naz and The Ghoulie$, the touching tribute was produced by Naz. When it came to honoring his close friend, BJ had this to say, “I wanted to give some kind of creative tribute to a man who not only uplifted so many people through his music, but also made a significant impact on the business as a whole.” It’s my way of doing my part to honor his memory through music.”

The Chicago Kid announced his “BJ Wednesday” series not long ago, and he has since kept his promise by continually releasing new music on Hump Day to keep fans entertained throughout their workweek. As a result, he ended up putting all these tracks together into an EP named 4AM, which he released in full at the beginning of August.
