Check out Syd new album ‘Broken Hearts Club’

Syd released her debut solo album Fin five years ago, an acclaimed project that included 12 tracks and contributions from Steve Lacy and 6LACK. Then, two months later, Syd delivered an equally slick, but short EP titled Always Never Home. She also got back together with her Internet collective for “Hive Mind,” their newest project.

As of last week, Syd has released a second solo album entitled Broken Hearts Club, which consists of 13 soulful songs and new collaborations with Lucky Daye, Smino, and Kehlani. Top singles from the project include “Missing Out,” “CYBAH,” “Fast Car,” and “Right Track.”

The album also comes with the self-produced track “Getting Late,” which originally appeared on the soundtrack of Queen & Slim, and which features the emotional subject matter that has become synonymous with Syd the singer:

The Internet star Syd is also well-known for his time as a member of Odd Future, a collective that is now disbanded and included artists like Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator, and Frank Ocean. It wasn’t until recently that she revealed in an interview with NME that she feels little connection to the time period:

In fact, that feels like a lifetime ago since I do not remember anything about it. It would have just seemed like a blur to me. I didn’t have a good place to be at the time, so I’m not going to think about those days.”
