So far in 2016, BackRoad Gee has delivered an impressive series of singles and collaborations, such as “Moonwalk Slide” with RV and Chip, “Wag1” with Sneakbo, “A Yo” with TizzTrap and BG, “No War” with Leafs, “Woi Oi” with Geko and Ms Banks, “No Mercy” with Ghetts and Pa Salieu, and “Ready Or Not” with Nissi. The East London rapper followed up that accomplishment last week (August 26) with the independently produced album “Bad Mind,” delivering his urban subject matter with a more chilled-out approach:
“Bad Mind” also comes with a video featuring BackRoad Gee on an ocean-going yacht, enjoying the vibes on a tropical excursion with Thomas Guinand and Dixhuit Production. As well as performing the melody on land in the way of a breathtaking landscape, he is also seen on the water. Viewing the colorful clip may make you feel FOMO.
A few weeks ago, BackRoad Gee announced via his social media accounts that a new body of work would be released titled Reporting Live From The Back Of The Roads. The release of Reporting Live follows on from last year’s release of Mukta vs Mukta, an EP with eight tracks and contributions from Salieu, Ambush Buzzworl, and Jay Silva. In 2019, he dropped the well-received project Mukta With Reason.
