A freestyle from Rowdy Rebel for Funk Flex

Rowdy Rebel has certainly been bringing his fans new music, both as an incredibly talented feature artist and as a top-tier song maker in his own right. Drizzy Juliano and Kaimikaze Kai provided a cypher on Funk Flex, which was hosted by Funk Flex at HOT97, which featured instrumentals for JAY-Z “You, Me, Him and Her,” and Mobb Deep “Quiet Storm.” and Rowdy said on social media that DB and Jambo provided the final beat, which gave his biggest bars a fitting end.

Rowdy has been on a tear since he was released from prison before the arrival of 2021, collaborating with several artists including CJ, Young Thug and 42 Dugg, Doe Boy, Young Stoner Life, Giggs, G Herbo, in addition to his long-standing friend and collaborator Bobby Shmurda. As well as loose cuts, he has released “9 Bridge” alongside A Boogie wit da Hoodie and “Jesse Owens” featuring NAV. In addition to that, he’ll release tonight (April 8) “Rowdy vs. Rebel,” LeTurtle, a Peter Gundry, and FlossyDraco-produced track that will appear on Rowdy’s upcoming album of the same name.

He was recently interviewed by DJ Self on Power 105, where he explained what fans can expect from his new work. During the interview, he also explained the meaning behind the title of his debut album:

“I’m dropping a single called ‘Rowdy vs. Rebel’ on the 8th. Additionally, after the release of ‘Rowdy vs. Rebel’, I plan on dropping another single just to stir up the streets once again. However, I have also named my album Rowdy vs. Rebel. That means I will give some tracks over to what I like to call The Rowdys, some sort of music. Then some to what I call the Rebels, some straight bullsh*t. Yeah I am focused.”
