2 Chainz teams up with Jacquees for the new “Land of the Free” track

Jacquees’ rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the Lakers game last week brought him to national attention. In response, the self-proclaimed King of R&B became yet another viral sensation. We didn’t realize that “Land of the Free” was on its way.

Following the release of DJ iMarkkeyz’s remix on YouTube, that version of the song began to get attention. After thanking iMarkkeyz, Jacquees surprised us today by dropping his version of the remix. His friend 2 Chainz was added to the record before he released the finished product to his SoundCloud account. The song begins with him declaring he is here to change the game, followed by 2 Chainz:

There will never be another National Anthem… Jacquees (yes)

Jacquees, in the past, has contributed to the recent singles, “Bed Friend” by Queen Naija, “Let’s Not Fall In Love” by Kodi Shane, and Toosii’s brand new three-track album, “Pretty Girls Love Toosii.”

Exit 68 represents Jacquees’ hometown, a reference to the mixtape he gave fans last year. The project included 16 tracks with contributions from Ty Dolla $ign and Trey Songz, the latter contributing to the standout track “All On You.” As with his last project, the appropriately-titled King of R&B, his second album contained 18 tracks with the likes of Tory Lanez, T.I., Quavo, Summer Walker, Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Baby, Lil Gotit, Young Thug, and more. Future also provided vibes on the single “What They Gone Do With Me.”
